In Villa de Leyva we went to El Fossil and saw a big dinosaur fossil, the Kronosaurus. It was all intact except its tail and one of its hind legs. It was left in the original place. The Kronosaurus was a marine dinosaur. It had some giant teeth! We also saw a lot of ammonite and trilobite fossils and they were used to build the walls and floors of the museum and the convent. The next afternoon, I went on an adventurous hike with Dad and Finn up a mountain overlooking Villa de Leyva. We found 4 small fossils! Once we got to the top, we ate some Oreo cookies and the clouds started to swirl and the storm came in! We rushed down the mountain and got soaking wet. Finn almost hurt his ankle but he is fine.
