Vilcabamba
We have been in Vilcabamba for a few days and we are really enjoying it. The hostel we are staying at is called Hosteria Izhcayuma and it has a great view of the mountains. We usually walk into town along a dirt road and do stick boat races along the way in the water channel. My boats are called Woody, Ugly, Ugly2, Ugly3 and I won three out of the four races we did. My dad won the other one with his boat called Brownie Three Stripe. The races can get interesting and really fun because you don't know what will happen.
Today we did a nice hike along a dirt road with great views of the mountains. It took about 3.5 hours. It also followed the water channel but in another direction. There were some sketchy parts which were overgrown with tall grasses and had a lot of cow poop and mud EVERYWHERE! We eventually made it out alive. However, in the woods, we encountered killer cows with horns! One of them had its horns pointing at us. Dad chased them away with a big stick and we passed by them without any troubles. After we got out of the woods, we encountered more killer animals...killers dogs and killer geese. One of the dogs almost attacked us. The geese charged toward us with their necks poking out.
After we got back to the hostel, we had lunch. I shared a spaghetti bolognese with my brothers. We played ping pong afterwards. All in all, it was a super fun day!
